Can’t Beleaf You’re Two: Jennings’ Second Birthday

Jennings Turns Two

When thinking of themes to celebrate Jennings’ second birthday, I thought about our outside-loving boy and all the things that make him smile. Top of the list? Leaf blowers! Yes, leaf blowers. He loves nothing more than to roam the neighborhood looking for someone tending to their lawn, so it only made sense to have a lawn party for him focused on all things outdoors. Scroll down to see all the details and beautiful photos…vendor list is included too!

We had his 2nd birthday party in our backyard and kept the guest list limited, since our Covid baby (who isn’t in school yet) only has a few little friends. When guests arrived they were greeted by balloons, which welcomed them into the yard.

I set up a “play in the dirt” station so kids could pretend to plant. There were also mini tubs so the sensory play activity could be brought home. The station was set up next to our play house which was one of the big hits of the party.

Further into the yard we had a ball pit with leaves and flowers mixed in, a beautiful blue bounce house with floral balloons flanking it and leaf blowers for all the kids that blow bubbles!

Lunch was Cafe at Pharr sandwiches that I served in mini picnic baskets, pails of veggies and green veggie sticks (because I love a theme). We had the MOST BEAUTIFUL cake complete with garden tools and a leaf blower (!) made of chocolate.

Still can’t get over the leaf blower made of chocolate.

It was so windy we almost couldn’t blow out the candles because nature kept doing it for us!
