This past weekend marked a decade of Elle Hertz and, although I can’t believe it, ten years of me being a mom. Watching your first grow into the most genuinely lovely little lady is a gift beyond words, and of course, we celebrated the Born on Fifth way.
Elle was the creative force behind this year’s festivities and landed on a mystery party theme. I found the perfect kit on Etsy: a tween-friendly whodunit set in Paris and centered around the case of Kaylor Swiftly’s missing guitar. The game itself was a total hit, and we worked to make every other detail of the evening feel just as special.
We hosted at home, transforming our formal living room with beautiful linens, thoughtful table settings, and fresh florals. Since the story unfolded in Paris, we leaned fully into the theme and styled dinner à la Elle Bilboquet, serving elevated, kid-approved fare that felt festive but unfussy.
The girls were treated to a proper dinner party, which made the night feel even more magical, and for favors, we opted for customized journals that the girls could bedazzle and functioned as a place for them to take notes during the mystery game. All in all, it was the perfect tween birthday: meaningful, fun, and full of heart. I’m sharing everything from the vendors we used to what we wore below.
Elle’s LSF dress is the perfect, age appropriate party dress. So sparkly and fun!

These simple, but cute party favors were a hit. And I love that they are something the girls will actually use!
My set is new from La Maregold. I went with a S top, but could have done XS as the back is stretchy.
The prettiest florals from Bouquet Atlanta, always.
