Texture for Fall: Subtly Add Interest to Any Outfit

Taylor Swift is top of mind today, and while I’m no showgirl I do love an eye catching look. The way I land there isn’t through color (clearly) but visual interest of another sort: texture. Fall is the perfect season to lean into sumptuous fabrics, extra accouterments and knits. Soft shearling? Give it to me. Nubby tweed and bouclé? I’m sat. These little details quietly elevate a look, adding depth and personality without overwhelming it. They help an outfit stand out; not loudly, but effortlessly.

If you’re on the hunt for unique, textural pieces you’ll want to wear all season long, keep scrolling. You might find your next favorite.

Most requested! This lace jacket is an investment piece and I got mine second hand, but it’s a favorite in my closet.

The layering of textures in this outfit might not be what initially catches your eye, but it keeps your attention. The wool sweater, lace dress, fur clip and suede shoes all work together.

Love this basket weave jacket. The cut is perfect to wear with a semi-sheer skirt (or pants in this case).

I love a statement shoe, especially these new fur heels from Bottega!

Obsessed with this jacket! The braided texture adds so much.
