What To Wear in Harbour Island

This maxi dress was so easy to wear around the island as a chic coverup! Sold out, but love this too.

What to Wear in Harbour Island

I recently got the chance to visit Harbour Island in the Bahamas (twice in one month!). The first time I went away with Michael for some much needed one on one time. I loved it so much that I decided to take Elle back with me for a mommy daughter trip before school is back in session. Having been for two totally different trips, I’ve been able to nail down exactly what you should pack with room to spare – just in case any shopping ensues!

My travel look! This Thierry Colson dress is a tried and true staple that is perfect for traveling. Peep my favorite canvas boat tote for traveling too. This is the perfect size to fit another bag inside (it’s all about the bag layering to maximize options when you arrive)! Pearl hat is one of my favorites, and I used this hat holder to clip my hat on my bag.

I always try to match the vibe when I travel so went with muted Island-inspired tones for the most part. This dress with subtle cut outs was perfect. Michael and I dressed up for dinners. Most men were in pants and button down shirts, with a few wearing jackets.

Another dinner dress that quickly became a favorite. It is also available in black! Linked all of mine and Elle’s items here.

I highly recommend bringing some kaftan-style cover ups that can take you from breakfast to town to lunch (which is a scene!). This was a great option and I felt pulled together.

On our girls trip we brought lots of small basket bag options that did double duty, meaning I carried them (either during the day or to dinner) and the were also a cute way for Elle to transport her own things.

If you do a boat day, wear a suit that you feel confident in keeping you covered. I was obsessed with this option. The pink is cute too.

This suit was another favorite and matched the pink sand. I loved wearing a skirt as a cover up this day…could have totally worn the skirt to dinner and maximized the look.

There were pickle ball courts at our hotel, so I packed an outfit I thought would work. I also packed a couple gym outfits when Michael and I were solo because we had the time! My exercise on the trip with Elle was holding her in the ocean and swimming in the pool with her. Different experiences and both great.

Here’s my high level Harbour Island packing list!
