Volume Up
Trends come and go, but some so-mesh with your personal style that you decide to embrace them and evolve as they do. Volume speaks to me in this way. What started as my love for peplums has cascaded into my obsession with trumpet sleeves and overly-belled pants of all lengths.
I’m much more into two-piece looks these days as they truly expand your wardrobe in ways dresses simply can’t.
This Milly top will also be great with jeans, though I love how it pairs with these pants.
For a less dramatic take on the look, try a top like this or this.

As a woman who has obviously spent a lot of time in the office but still cares about fashion, what variations would you suggest to make business-formal chic but understated?
Hey Ann! I think playing with proportion is a great way to have some fun and find that separates are chicer than ever (many of these tops…albeit those with the shoulders covered…would be great with slacks during the week and then would be amazing with jeans on the weekend). Alice + Olivia has a great work wear line, too. Milly, who makes the outfit in this post, also has similar styles that are a bit more tame!
