Introducing Dondolo x Born on Fifth

Grandmillennial Gals! This One’s For You

Introducing the Dondolo x Born on Fifth Collection

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that one of my absolute favorite brands for Elle and, now Jennings, is Dondolo!

I was so excited when Dondolo founder Catalina Jorba introduced herself to me at Creative Camp in Nashville this past February. It was lovely to put a name and face with the clothing brand that has become so special to us. We’ve celebrated many holidays in Dondolo and the pieces Catalina has so beautifully created are some of my all-time favorites and will be saved for when Elle and Jennings have kids of their own.

To collaborate with a brand that I care so deeply about is an honor. I am also beyond THRILLED with how the pieces turned out. Catalina knew that between the florals, puff sleeves and hand-embroidered collar, this dress would instantly steal my heart. The silhouette is a dream and can be worn belted or loose. Either way it’s chic chic! The dress also comes in blue with pink accents which is equally gorgeous.

One of the best parts of the collection is the family coordination aspect, which of course I love. The little girl and baby pieces are simply precious and the baby boy styles are as sweet as can be. I am so proud to have these pieces named for us, which was a delightful surprise. Beyond being a talented designer,  mama of four boys and style-setter, Catalina is truly a thoughtful and generous woman.

I also have to say that the dresses looked amazing with every pair of shoes I tried. I let Elle style me and was so proud with what she came up with! I also wanted to share that there are headbands and masks in the floral print…they are truly perfect. If you have a little gal, you may have noticed the doll dress too. And yes, that’s my original Kirsten! I  couldn’t find Elle’s American Girl doll, so mine was the stand in for our shoot.

We can’t wait to launch tomorrow, October 29th at 10 am EST! Hope you love the collection as much as I do, and be sure to check out the other pieces in the Grandmillennial Capsule Collection. Happy shopping!

A close up of the dress embroidery and print, which is the beautiful hand of Riley Sheehey, who I worked with on the Bows & Blue branding and Dogwood Hill collection. Love when creative worlds collide.

Here is the detail on the little girl’s pieces. To die for!

Elle felt so beautiful! She was striking pose after pose!

Love matching my girl!

We tried for a group shot…Jennings is on the move!

Here’s the blue version! Such a stunner.

Captured the prettiest pre-shoot moment.

Can you even? Mary Catherine popped by for a quick visit and this is a framer!

Thank you to the Dondolo team for this opportunity, especially Catalina and Carolina who have been a true pleasure to work with! As a brand, Dondolo stands apart. Beyond making their clothing through ethical manufacturing, with each purchase funds are used to fuel new employment for mothers in Colombia, creating a safe place for them to thrive and the means to better care for their children. With their Dondolo Gives Program, the brand support mothers and their children within the community, representing the heart and soul of Dondolo.
