Fifth of the Month: March

March is here to signal the end of winter. I look forward to this month all year long because it beckons at my favorite time of year, spring! It probably comes as no surprise that I thrive in the season where pastel florals cover all designs, home and fashion alike, and beautiful events (like weddings) are plentiful. But, I also love taking time to spend with the kids in warmer weather on their spring breaks (check here if you need outfit inspo for a trip), celebrating my wedding anniversary and Jennings’ birthday!

March has always been a source of inspiration for me and a time when my personal style comes to light. This month I wanted to share some of my favorite areas of inspiration with you, including spring florals, wedding season (they get more grand by the year), and bows of course (not just in your hair). Spring Florals

Colorful blooms will forever be a source of joy for me, whether growing in my front yard or as a print on my favorite dress. The beauty that grows in our gardens in the springtime inspires me to try to capture the feeling it brings and invite it to live forever in my style choices. I constantly feel myself being drawn toward clothing items and home decor covered in florals at this time of year, which should come as no surprise!

Wedding Season

Of course, and maybe more importantly, March marks not only the beginning of Spring, but of wedding season. I was married in March and love celebrating our anniversary every year at this time! Bridal couture has been fashion inspiration for me long after my own wedding and the grandiose events of this season help inspire my own (think Elle’s 8th birthday). Bows

Bows in the hair are a year-round thing for me (this one is my favorite) but something about spring makes me feel like it is acceptable to make them a part of every other area of life.
