Valentine’s Day is the first holiday to arrive since my full-house cleanout, and I can honestly say I’ve never felt more clear-headed. I pared back nearly every room in our home, letting go of unnecessary clutter, and the sense of calm it brought was immediate.
In years past, I’ve filled the kids’ Valentine’s baskets with little toys and trinkets. While there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that, this year I wanted to do something more thoughtful, something they’d enjoy for the long haul and that wouldn’t undo my recent decluttering efforts. Instead, I’m framing a meaningful item for each of them, like Elle’s Taylor Swift poster. Framebridge and Minted make the process easy and it’s a simple way to preserve something they already love while still celebrating the spirit of Valentine’s Day.
Treat yourself to a little champagne – an ultimate form of self love, imo.
A Few Pretty Valentine’s Ideas
The holiday of love has always been one of my favorites, so even though I’m shopping more intentionally, I couldn’t resist rounding up a few beautiful ideas. Think fashion pieces that feel just as right for everyday wear, decor that can be brought out year after year, and small, functional gifts that quietly say I love you.
Wishing you a Valentine’s Day filled with love, in all its forms. xx
