The Sweetest School Dress
The 2020/2021 school year is not one we will soon forget. Whether classes are held in-person or virtually is yet-to-be-determined for us, but either way, I knew I wanted Elle to have a beautiful dress to mark the start of her Pre-K year. I enlisted the help of my friends at Charlotte sy Dimby, since I so-enjoy collaborating with them on trunk shows and collections. We designed this one together…from choosing a gingham fabric to deciding to embroider florals on lowercase letters (I prefer lowercase letters for some unbeknownst reason), this dress has my name all over it. Well, it has abcde all over it, but you get the idea.
The dress design far exceeded what I had in my imagination and I thought that it would make some other little ladies and their mamas very happy amidst all of this uncertainty, so we decided to make a few extra. The dress is 100% cotton, features hand-embroidered floral letters a, b, c, d and e and is available in sizes 2-8. There are a couple of sizes left, if you’d like to order. I think this could be a darling dress for picture day too (and since that may be happening on the home front this year, all the more reason to get dolled up for the snap, since I can ensure the dress won’t come back a total mess).
I truly wish you could see the dress in person…it’s far more beautiful than these images show.
Stay tuned…excited to share the iconic collection with you next. That will live on my soon-to-launch Bows & Blue site. More soon!
