Let’s Talk About Holiday Parties

When I worked at Spanx, we always had the most fun and over-the-top holiday parties. Everyone went all out and it was the best excuse for a new outfit. Now that I am self-employed, my holiday parties are a bit more traditional, but still just as fun to dress for.

I was excited to find this darling holiday dress on the INTERMIX site. It’s a part of their private label brand and comes in black, as shown, and red! The spaghetti straps and gathered neckline are quite lovely and there is a small slit at the bottom, allowing for plenty of movement. I’m wearing a size 4 here as I prefer to size up in regular clothes (so that I can wear them post-pregnancy too).

Because I’m newly pregnant and still awaiting my full bump, I paired my holiday party dress with a statement coat in my favorite shade of blush, which adds just the right amount of interest. The coat from Apparis comes in a handful of other colors too, including black which is such a classic.

I’m wearing these shoes, which I love year-round. Also obsessed with this color. Finally, I always love a mini lady bag for evening…and this one is particularly cute.
