Tomorrow is my third wedding anniversary and I really can’t believe it! I remember the planning stages so vividly and then, in an instant, the wedding was upon us, I blinked and it was over. It’s been wonderful to get to look through the photos, reminisce about the day and reflect on how much has happened since then. I’m also constantly reminded of my wedding weekend because many of the outfits I wore are still on regular rotation in my closet. I intentionally chose looks that would transcend time in that way. From a strapless “something blue” top worn at my rehearsal dinner to a gray outfit (pictured below) that made its debut at Sunday brunch the morning after our wedding, the pieces I picked are some of my favorite things I’ve ever owned.
Below are some outfit ideas that work as well for a wedding-related event as they do for the honeymoon or post-wedding life.
White on White
Whether you’re being honored at a beachy bridal luncheon or want to keep the white theme going on the honeymoon, these easy pieces read bridal when paired together, but don’t scream BRIDE when worn post-nuptials.

Top-Notch Top
One of the best decisions I made was to wear a top and skirt for my rehearsal dinner. The top, which is similar to this Milly style, is perfect when paired with black pants or jeans. This look could work for everything from a couples shower to a casual-leaning cocktail reception.
Top: Milly c/o Tulipano. Pants: J.Crew (similar here). Shoes: Gianvito Rossi. Earrings: Lizzie Fortunato (similar here). Clutch: Gucci (similar here).
Chic Separates
This outfit was a good find. Purchased in New York City while there for a dress fitting, I popped into a boutique known for carrying cool labels and came out with an outfit that can be dressed up or dressed down and isn’t my go-to black but is still a neutral. Thinking beyond white works well, I promise!

Newly engaged? How exciting! If, like me, you’d rather spend more time shopping than figuring out how to get organized for the big day, you’ll love Wiithyu, a new app that makes planning super easy. You can customize checklists (I kept a million pieces of paper which was probably not super efficient) and collaborate with your whole wedding party.
Do you have any weddings in your future? My brother is getting married in July and my best friend is getting married in September. Can’t wait to celebrate both of these very special occasions!
