Elle is headed to summer camp away from home the first time and I’ve been slowly gathering everything she’ll need over the past few months in an effort to feel as prepared as possible. I thought I’d share a general packing list in case your girl or guy is heading off on their own adventure too!
To make things as easy as possible, we’re packing all of her essentials in a trunk (love this extra-large duffel), toiletries already organized in her shower caddy and her clothes sorted into simple categories. Since each camper has a shelf with cubbies, I found these organizers that slide perfectly into each space. I’m planning to pre-pack each one by clothing category (shirts, shorts, socks, pajamas, etc.) and keep everything neatly in place with these zip bags. My hope is that it will make unpacking, staying organized, and getting dressed each day much simpler.
Most camps offer a packing list specially designed for their camp so be sure to follow that, first and foremost! Also, Elle will be away for a few weeks, so this list is built with that in mind. Her camp also requires a uniform for most activities, so that makes up the bulk of what she’ll be wearing. If your camp doesn’t require this, I’d definitely suggest adding a few more everyday outfits into the mix.

High recommend the New Balance 9060s as your girl’s sneaker. We just bought a new pair for camp as Elle outgrew her last. She’s been wearing them for years and loves them.

Clothing
- 4-5 casual t-shirts or tanks
- 3-4 casual shorts
- 3 pairs of pajamas
- 2 sweatshirts
- 2 pair of sweatpants
- 2 pairs of leggings
- 2 swimsuits
- 1 rain jacket
- 12-14 pairs of underwear
- 10-12 pairs of socks
- 1 bath robe or wrap towel
- Miscellaneous
- Any outfits for themed days
Shoes

- Water shoes (if needed for lake/river activities)
Bedding
Elle’s camp doesn’t require her to bring her own bedding, but many do so double-check this! She will still be packing this cute backrest pillow for extra coziness.
