It’s no secret…I’m shoe-obsessed. There is something about finding the right pair of shoes that can make your day and change your mood each time you put them on. I’ve found that investing a little bit more in a good pair of shoes can go a long way. They should last season after season, even after being worn through walking cities like Paris. They shouldn’t cause discomfort (seriously, it’s possible!). They should transcend time, even if they aren’t “trendy” at that moment.
Here are the five styles I think are worth a try for spring!
(Pretty!) Mules
Though the name is ugly, these are my favorite type of shoes at the moment. This style takes on the look of the Chanel pair pictured above, but comes at a fraction of the cost. It’s worth noting that I wear suede year round. If you like a lower heel, this pair is so sweet.
Chic Clogs
These peep-toe clogs-meet-sandals are so easy to wear. They also work just as well with jean shorts on the beach as they do with a dressed up look for evening. I also love this closed pair as the seasons change.
Comfortable Platforms
99% of the time, I’m not wearing flats and platforms are the sole reason I’m able to pull this off. I want this hybrid pair for day. I still can’t decide how I feel about these, but I sort of love them.
Elevated Sandals
See above re: never in flats. This slightly elevated sandal is perfect for spring and transitions nicely into summer as well. These are very Yeezy in nature, but could be great with jeans!
Fancy Sneakers
The fact that sneakers (finally!) got dressed up makes them a new staple in my wardrobe. I love this pair and can’t get over this pair!
