What to Gift the Hostess(es) of Your Baby Shower

Welcome to the start of my hostess gifting series. Gift-giving is one of my love languages and over the years I have become somewhat of an expert at finding the right gift for the person and occasion at hand. One of my most asked questions recently has been what to gift the hostess(es) showering you with love by throwing you a baby shower!

Because they’ve inevitably put so much time and attention into your special day, I think it’s lovely to leave them with something unique and thoughtful. Keep scrolling to see some of my favorite baby shower hostess gift ideas. And stay tuned in the coming weeks for gift ideas fit for the hostess of your bridal shower, birthday, and more.

And, if you’re a gift giving gal like me, you’re bound to have too much wrapping paper, ribbons, and bows. See how I store and organize my stash of supplies here!

Nine Gifts for Nine Months

Ice Cream Scoop & Jar of Pickles

My dear friend Brooke was a bridesmaid and hers was the first shower I co-hosted. She came up with this idea and I was tickled by it! Truly so precious. Playing on the theme of pregnancy cravings, a (nice) ice cream scoop and a jar of pickles is such a fun idea. The idea is niche but the items are easily loved. My advice is to buy an ice cream scoop that’s nice enough that someone may not splurge on it for themselves, to make it more meaningful.

Mini Umbrella & A Note

I love a witty play on words, if done the right way and paired with a practical item, it’s a knock-out gift. Gifting a mini travel umbrella with a card or tag that says “Thank you for showering me, anytime it showers outside I’ve got you covered” is such a sweet way to say thank you!

Soap Dish Paired with Pretty Soap

A pretty soap dish paired with a nice, fresh-scented soap, is a subtle nod to your baby’s arrival while still being a gift that they will use. Everyone wants to hug and kiss baby when they arrive but don’t forget to wash your hands first!

Ruby Bond x BOF Candy Bag

My recent collaboration with Ruby Bond has been a favorite. Our BOF x Ruby Bond candy bags are pretty enough to gift or even set the table with. Either bring them in bulk to help your hostess provide party favors or bring her a stash of her own to snack on and display. Either way, pretty sweets are a crowd-pleaser.

Bubble Bath & a Note

Self-care is a theme that I think all new and existing moms should embrace. Do just this by gifting your hostess a luxe bubble bath with the note ‘ “I may not be relaxing in the coming months but you deserve to. Thank you!”

Picture Frames with a Placeholder

You can find chic, yet affordable frames all over Amazon. These silver bamboo ones are a personal favorite and would make the perfect little gift. You can download and print our sweet 5×7 Frame Insert that says “Our friendship makes me smile, photo of us to come”, and after the event, gift a nice print from the party.

Quality Coffee & a Mug

A tag that reads, “I’ll be needing caffeine, here are supplies in case you do too.”, tied around a chic mug and some quality coffee is bound to be a crowd pleaser. Shop my favorite coffee and mugs below.

Personalized Stationery

Of course personalizing a gift always makes it more special, and I am always happy to receive pretty stationery with my name on it. A notepad like this one, from my collaboration with Dogwood Hill and Riley Sheehey, for under $28 is inexpensive yet special.

Cute Crew Socks & a Note

Don’t you feel like you’re always in need of more socks? Gifts like these are the ones that I love receiving. So, grab a pair (or two) of quality crew socks and write a note along the lines of – “Thanks for being a part of my crew, I couldn’t do this without you”. Et voila, the cutest little gift.
